Report Bullying in District 17-C
Paper Trail: This is the most important task. Journal every incident, phone call, meeting: time, place, person(s) involved, witnesses (especially yours), evidence. Considering getting a Carbonless Phone Message Spiral Bound book to keep the notes in. Once a situation has been handled, the message can be removed leaving the copy in numerical order. Audio Record: All phone calls and meetings. Inform those you are talking with that you are recording and on the tape note the details: time, place, people and titles in the meeting. Who to report an incidence to: of hazing, harassment, intimidation, menacing, bullying, cyber-bullying or retaliation in district facilities, district premises and non district property, including all official school bus stops, if the student is at any district-sponsored, district-approved or district-related activity or function, such as field trips or athletic events where students are under the control of the district that involve school employees, students, administrators, volunteers, parents, guardians, law enforcement and/or community representatives. If the bully is a fellow student contact a teacher or
counselor who will be responsible for notifying the
