* Locations where you can pickup a crisis wallet card that talks about suicide prevention and includes the 24/7 National Suicide Prevention Liifeline phone number 800-273-8255 and the 24/7 National Crisis Text Line, text SOS to 741741. Keep one in your wallet to give to someone who might be going through depression or a tough time with a job, alcohol, physical health, financial, or an intimate partner. Also pick up a brochure titled "recognizing & responding to suicide risk & important questions to ask" which lists warning signs and how to start a conversation. Post it on a bulletin board at work and keep a copy at home where you can easily find it in case you notice a change in a friend, neighbor, colleague or family member, no matter how small. Trust the signs. Trust your gut. Start the conversation. It's time to ask "R U OK?"
